Description:The Computer Services Assistant reports directly to the Director of Information Technology Services. The Computer Services Assistant will play a critical role by assisting with the upkeep of all instructional labs and instructional technology equipment. This position will also perform numerous administrative duties.
Duties:• Perform various administrative tasks, such as departmental travel and assisting with updating the departmental operating manual.
• Assist with the maintenance of instructional labs and instructional technology equipment.
• Provide assistance to faculty and staff with the procurement of computer hardware and software.
• Assist with the computer equipment, instructional technology equipment, and the software inventories for the college.
• Manage and administer the procurement of supplies, which are stocked for the use of faculty, staff, and students and prepare monthly supply charge out.
• Maintain and track any warranty and maintenance agreements for Computer Services’ equipment and software licensing.
• Assist with the creation of security classes and user authorization forms.
• Assist with the coordination of planning, acquiring and installing the college’s instructional technology equipment
• Participate in departmental planning and evaluation.

• Annually review all Randolph Community College safety rules and policies and be familiar with all emergency safety procedures. Promote good safety habits and be compliant with OSHA safety regulations.
Qualifications:Required:
• High School Diploma.
• Demonstrated excellent customer service
• 1 year working experience with Microsoft Office Professional

Preferred:
• Associate degree in computer-related field.
• 1 –2 years hardware and software maintenance and repair
• Experience with Ellucian and/or CampusCruiser.
• Experience working with instructional equipment.
• Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Spanish.
